Carving a Pumpkin

Hello everyone and welcome to the Halloween post!
As you know I haven't been active for a few days, it has been a very busy weekend so I couldn't prepare posts for the days when I had no time to do blogging (like Tuesday because I have college all day and then I have work all evening). And I've been too tired to be blogging at night time, instead I was sleeping.
But to make up for it I am creating this special Halloween post where I'll be showing you how to carve a pumpkin. I have only ever done this once in my life with my dad, he just brought a pumpkin home year and he did most of the work, me and my sister mostly sat there and watched. It was such a long time ago that I don't even remember what the pumpkin looked like.
Let's get to it!
First of all you want to choose you pumpkin design, you can either find one on the internet and copy it or find a few images and mix and match them to make up your own pumpkin.
For my pumpkin I used the eyes and eyebrows from the image on the right and I carved the mouth in whatever way was easy because I was worried about getting to complicated. I didn't use the scratch because it was a bit too much for me.
You'll want to carve the top of your pumpkin off (or even the back of it) and that's when you need to grab a spoon! Make sure it's a strong spoon. And scoop out all of the seeds and string things out of the pumpkin. It may be a bit difficult and seem pointless but you'll want to do it until it is nice and hollow like in the photo.

Next you'll want to draw your template with a pen or marker so that you know where you need to carve all the lines of the face. Be aware that while carving your hand will probably get covered in ink like what happened to me.
The next bit is a bit tricky and you will need to be very very careful (not just about yourself but about carving it properly). I slipped a couple of times and carved a little too far. I did quite good on the eyes and eyebrows after doing the mouth. Practice makes perfect. The mark rubbed off a couple of stuff so I redrew it so that I knew what I was doing.

Once you're done carving just put in a candle and it's finished. I put it outside on my doorstep like all of my neighbors are doing and it looks amazing. You might prefer to have it somewhere else if you prefer. Maybe on a windowsill or just in the kitchen for your family to see.
That's all. I have gotten a few images for inspiration for you guys. I added a few simple ones and others which seemed really cool.

And this one is my favourite one, I would have done this one but my mum really didn't want me to.
She didn't really understand that it is a Harry Potter pumpkin.
