Room decorating tips

Hello everyone and welcome to a new post!

This is one of my favourite things to do; look for tips to decorate, save space or just simply make my life easier. So I thought that for this post I could share a few tips with you guys. My room is incredibly small and it has quite ugly walls and an ugly carpet but I can't really change that because the house is a rented one and the landlord might not be happy with it.

So my first tip is the walls. This can be a very easy gain of space. You can either decorate your walls with paintings, posters or photos. For example, I have a painting with my name on it that my sister and mum brought me back from Paris, I also have a couple of posters, some paintings I made and some photos of lovely memories I had that are being held up by pegs with lights. You can also put up a shelf or two where you can put all your stuff on so it's also space saving. I have shelfs in my room which were already there when i moved in and I put all my books and a lot of random stuff on.

The second tip is to use light coloured furniture, this will make it look more bright in the room and therefor, make it look more spacious. In my room the carpet is very dark and near my window there is a sort of dark blue wall so I don't really like it too much, I've tried to change the wall how I can but it's a lost cause but I'm thinking about getting a carpet to put on top of the one that is stuck to the floor. But my bed sheets and other stuff I can control is mostly light and comfy.

Another tip is to keep your wardrobe well organised. A room doesn't feel that comfortable if there are clothes all over the room or your clothes don't fit in the wardrobe or drawers. There are so many tips on the internet for this one.

The best way to have the drawers organised is to know how to fold your clothes and there is no need to pile them on top of each other so you always end up messing them up to grab a t-shirt or just grab the top one all of the time out of laziness. And let me ask you, do you even wear half of the clothes in your drawers? Because I don't, either I think it's too special to wear or I don't really like wearing it because it is too reveling or something. I am thinking about going clothes shopping and giving all of the clothes I don't wear to charity. But I need to save up for that first.

To sort out your wardrobe, again, get rid of those clothes which are just taking up space and there are many things you can do like use the little things on like coke cans and attaching them to the hanger so you can hang another one on that can thing (I'm really not sure what it's called). I've even seen these things you can buy where it has two hooks, then you put all your hangers on it and take one of the hooks off. all the hangers stay on the bar but they are now all hanging down instead of along.

These are all my tips for now but I'll be making more in the near future with much more and better tips.

Thank you for reading! Till the next time!
